Welcome to the “Scene E-zine”!

The New Saint Scene

Welcome to the new “Saint Scene E-zine”, brought to you by the Student Publications Division of your Student Representative Council.

Sure, the former print-version of the magazine was popular, but its high production cost meant we could only publish it every-other month. Hey, the college is way too busy to be waiting for weeks and weeks to update info about news and events, so we needed – and you deserve – the immediacy of on-line publishing.

As you can see by browsing the page, almost everything that was in the print-edition will be duplicated here: news, billions of photos, info about awareness campaigns and issues of interest to college students, a much greater concentration on the activities of campus clubs, a special section for downtown students, and “Columns & Features”.

“Links” will take you to the Athletic Department’s/Student Athletic Association’s webpage, and to the news posted by the college’s administration.

Oh, and you can also find the past year or two of our print editions (full PDFs of all pages) by clicking on the “Archives”.

There are links, too, to the SRC’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

The whole E-zine is also searchable.

Got a comment about a posted article? Or got an idea about something we should be covering? … Shoot us a note via the “Contact Us” link.

You’ll see one or two or a half-dozen new posts on the webpage every day, so we encourage you to make a point of visiting www.stclair-src.org/news/ once or twice a day.

Many, many thanks to SRC Social Media Coordinator Amanda Sinasac, who came up with the original “look” for the new page; and Beth Storey, Anthony Loncaric and Tim Johnston of the college’s I.T. Department’s web team who brought it all to fruition with the final design, coding, and teaching us how to administer it. You folks rock!

(Oh, and speaking of Thank You’s, we are very grateful, too, to Nathaniel Dahms of the I.T. Department, for his assistance in helping us to set up the expanded network of SRC-administered television monitors around the college.)

Please enjoy – and be seen in – The Scene … And have a great 2017-18 year at St. Clair.
