February 22 Scenery

Enactus

Among the campus scenery on February 22 ,,,

The college's Enactus group proved a point in the cafeteria during the lunch hour ... namely, that we aren't particularly conscientious recyclers.

Its members collected a bunch of garbage bags from campus receptacles, emptied them on the stage of the caf, and then sorted through the supposed "trash" to unearth a huge percentage of items that – rightfully – should have found their way into recycling containers.

Among the conclusions of the exercise are that many of the college's combo-trash-and-recycling receptacles don't have especially good signage – and, judging by the forefront of this photo, that many people don't know that coffee cups are recyclable.

Pride Flag

Again, Pride Week "rainbow flag" signing was taking place in the Student Life Centre.

Mini Job Fair

In the main lobby, one of the college-hosted "Mini Job Fairs" was taking place, as the local TRQSS factory (seatbelt system manufacturer) was looking for student-employees.

ID Lunch

Back in the caf, the Interior Design Club was conducting a fundraising lunch sale.

Auditions

And, also in the caf, the college's Media Services Department (and Marketing and Recruitment Office) launched its audition process, to find student spokespeople who might be "stars" in St. Clair's assorted videos next year.
