SCC's PFers At RCMP's PARE

Police Foundations at RCMP PARE

Contributed by Scott Braun, Coordinator, Police Foundations and Protection, Security and Investigation Programs at Chatham Campus

On November 13, a group of students from our Police Foundations program travelled to Mohawk College in Hamilton to participate in a PARE ("Physical Ability Requirements Evaluation") competition, hosted by the RCMP.

Our students competed against other PF students from several other Ontario colleges.

These students registered, funded, and arranged transportation all on their own, and even purchased SCC team shirts at their own expense.

It’s my understanding that this is the first time SCC has been represented at the event, and I am very proud of their efforts!

Team members were: Rachelle Visser, Chelsea Rigaux, Carter Wood, Hannah St. Pierre, Eric Penney, and Nick Orshinsky.
